Session 8 (part 2) – Beewiched… beawitc.. RATs how do I spell it again guys?

Standing either side of the double door, El Bardo and I raise our legs together“…3!” then – SMASH – the doors go flying open. We’re disappointingly not greeted with anyone on the other side. Just a double bed and a desk. El Bardo points to the right and explains that’s where he must have come up using the ladder from below. While El Bardo was in the motions of explaining, out the side of my eye I spot Gondar was running at full speed. Did he see something we’d missed? He was heading straight for the bed, I raised my hammer in anticipation. He made it midway across the room […]

Session 8 (part 1) – Beewiched… beawitc.. RATs how do I spell it again guys?

We set up camp the best we can in our makeshift room, even though its covered in exploded chest beast stuff. We all look like we could sleep for days, so much has happened since we regrouped. We’ve been down here so long, I couldn’t even tell you the time of day.. was it even night? All I know is as soon as my head was resting on the stone I was out like a light. As the night passed.. or was it day? no matter… Eventually we’re all up. Gondar was awake first. Did he even get any sleep? He’s looking worse by the day.. or was it hours? […]

Chapter 9 – Phandolin and its Dapper Bard

By the time the lot of us arrived in Phandolin, exhaustion set in. It did so a while ago already for me due to lack of proper sleep, but by now my compatriots also started showing signs of weariness. Not as grave as mine, but undeniably present nonetheless. Bardo especially. The encounter with the rat didn’t do him very good, the impact of the lash of the tail still visible across his chest. Goddamn, that looked hurtful! Poor thing even got hit by rocks a few times afterwards too. This really wasn’t his day. As for the rest of us, I guess one can only stay in a dungeon underground […]

Session 7 – The stuff of nightmares

We come to a rest after Gondar slays two more without much effort. Gondar decides to take the blood drenched bed, the bed that just two moments ago was being warmed by the unfortunate Xvart. El Bardo looks dazed.. or in a trance, just staring off into the distance.. Its a small room so I wonder what he’s looking at. Darkbreaker’s talking to me again, I wonder if the group are just having me on that they can’t hear him.. i mean El Bardo may be just listening in while he’s staring at the wall? Gondar looks like he’s having a nightmare… seems to be sweating and rolling this way […]

Chapter 6 – A Dark Episode

After managing to escape from our cells last week in a very stylish fashion that may or may not have included ramming a wall down, head first, and fighting of 2 motherfucking ugly guards, unarmed might I add, we found ourselves trapped in this dark corridor. Just the three of us. Left with three doors to open, we made a very thought-out and rational decision and opened one at random. Our carefull reasoning and astounding insights in the dungeon didn’t fail us. They led us right back to our equipment that was taken from us. I got lucky! I got all my shit back in one go, bar my backpack. […]

Session 2 – First rule of #PITPARTY…

“Who..” I started to reply to Adrik, but was quickly drowned out by the booming battle cry of the approaching stranger “…IIMPLE MAATTTTT” Trying again “ Wh..“ “SIIIMPLEE MAATTTTT” “W..” “SIIIMPLEEE MAATTTTTTT” “Oh for fuc…” Gondar and Maisee both muttered, both reaching for their weapons “SIIIIIMPLEEEEE MAAAAAATTTTTTTT” The stranger was now no more than 30 feet from us now and despite being incredibly annoying he stood as tall, if not taller than myself and was clad in chain mail. I squeezed my fists readying myself for whatever this oddity was about to do next. Adrik must have noticed the three of us readying up for ruckus and quickly got in […]

Session 1.5 – Arrows and tangents

We met first thing the next morning with everyone looking a little worse for wear. Between Adrik and the three of us we got the wagon loaded fairly quickly, with each of us grumbling under our breath every time Adrik threw another bag of god knows what onto the back of the wagon rather than place it in gingerly like the rest of us. “What say you three to some breakfast before we set off” Adrik boomed. You would have thought he had cast thaumaturgy to amplify his voice based on the way we all reacted by covering our ears, wincing and nodding. I was starting to think Adrik was […]
